Year-RoundChoral Arts Ensemble, with professional orchestra and soloists, offers Franz Joseph Haydn’s masterwork, the Lord Nelson Mass. Written at the height of Napoleon’s threat to Vienna, the mass is a solemn yet ultimately joyous work, an affirmation of faith in light and love over darkness and fear. The concert will also feature Bach’s glorious motet, Fürchte dich nicht (Be Not Afraid) and the world premiere of John Orfe’s God of the Night.
