Year-RoundAlison Scott is the strongest new voice to come out of the Minneapolis music scene in many years; her soulful organic sound has built a large and loyal following throughout the Midwest. Alison will perform her hits as well as holiday songs.
“She’s got pipes, personality, and an undeniable soulfulness.” Jon Bream (MN StarTribune)
Scott’s newest release, “Chinese Whispers" has just been picked up for national distribution and was named one of the year's ten best by the St. Paul Pioneer Press. After signing with a national agency, the band has started touring in earnest. Members include, Kevin Bowe (guitar), Peter Anderson (drums), Steve Price (bass), and James Tyler O’Neill (keyboards.) This concert is something of a homecoming for O’Neill who grew up in Hopkins. O’Neill attended MacPhail Center for Music though out his childhood and studied piano with local jazz greats Jimmy Hamilton and Bobby Peterson.
A pre-concert social hour with free appetizers and a cash bar starts at 6 pm and precedes the concert which starts at 7:00 pm.
This is the first of a concert series in partnership with Sue McLean & Associates featuring national and regional touring artists ranging from Ruthie Foster to The Pines, to Halloween, Alaska.
