Date(s):
Jul 19, 2013 - Aug 23, 2013Founded in 1998, the Lake Country Pastel Society unites artists working in the unique medium of soft pastel; a chalk-like stick that consists of pure powdered pigment combined with a binder. The Society provides networking, education, and exhibition opportunities for its members.
The Inez Greenberg Gallery will host the Lake Country Pastel Society’s 2013 All Member’s Exhibit in July. The theme of the exhibition, “Make Your Mark” refers to both the variety of strokes that can be made with soft pastel (from hard edged, bold marks to soft feathery strokes) as well as the thought process each artist utilizes when creating a work of art (how and why a subject is selected, as well as how the subject is portrayed and rendered).
