Peter Pan or The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up is a show about the excitement and cost of adventure, and, even as the play is a fantasy, this production will be rooted in real consequences.
The Darling children will come to know all too well how good they have it at home. The Never Land will be a dangerous place filled with characters that are vicious and not clichés - the pirates will be vile, the Natives will be wild, and all the creatures will be hungry. The show will be very physical, almost constantly in motion. The aim and challenge of this production will be to bring the awe that was struck in audiences over 100 years ago to today's audiences who are exposed constantly to entertainment filled with dazzling special effects - we have our work cut out for us, but the challenge must be met with sweat and imagination.
