Nearly 200 bird species recorded annually during the spring migration in a unique transition zone of tall-grass prairie, northern hardwood & conifer forests. Field trips, workshops, socials, exhibitors. Featured presenter on Saturday, May 18 is Cornell Lab of Ornithology's director, John W. Fitzpatrick. Find out what birds teach us about human nature, envionmental protection and saving species on Earth in his presentation "Discoving how Birds can save the World." Carrol Henderson kicks off the festival May 16 by revealing what has been discovered about the effects of the Gulf oil spill on migrating birds. Professional photographer Robert Taylor, Winnipeg will wow you with his bird photos and entertain you with the stories behind how he got them on May 17.
