Join us at Historic Fort Snelling for an opportunity to try your hand at blacksmithing under the direction of our skilled smiths. Participants will work the forge, pound out the hot metal, and shape the iron using hammer and tongs as it was done two centuries ago. Bring your completed project, a working fire steel, home to impress family and friends with your new smithing skills. Pre-registration and pre-payment is required. Participants ages 13-17 must be accompanied throughout the program by a responsible adult. Pre-registration and pre-payment is required.
$65 per participant / $60 for MHS members
