Focus on Diversity American Birding Conference Comes to Bloomington
Release Date: Sep 18, 2012
The Focus on Diversity II conference will be held Saturday, October 13, at Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge in Bloomington, after last year’s inaugural event was such a success at John Heinz NWR in Philadelphia.
From the conference website: The objective of this event is to promote effective outreach to more diverse audiences with birding opportunities, outdoor recreation, and conservation messages. By sharing the great outdoors together, we will enhance our lives and promote a strong societal conservation ethic.
Registration deadline is September 30. Refuge System Birding team members Kenn Kaufman, Paul Baicich, Roy Rodriguez, and Flisa Stevenson will be presenting at the conference. For registration and more information, visit http://www.fledgingbirders.org/CFAB.html.
