Meet in Minnesota a Success at ASAE 2012

Explore Minnesota Tourism and six Minnesota tourism partners held a reception and promoted the Meet in Minnesota brand at the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) annual meeting & expo in Dallas, Texas, August 11-14, 2012. Minnesota ASAE partners included Bloomington CVB, Visit Duluth, Fargo/Moorhead CVB, Meet Minneapolis, St. Cloud Area CVB and Visit Saint Paul. The reception, typically one of the first receptions of the event’s open evening, hosted 74 meeting planners and association executives from across the country. Reports from Minnesota hosts were very positive, stating the reception offered many opportunities to network with planners and share the benefits of meeting in Minnesota. In addition, as seen in this photo, Meet in Minnesota rugs lined the aisles at the expo and helped to increase visibility for Minnesota as a meeting destination.  Plans are to continue this promotion in Atlanta at ASAE 2013 next August.
