Free Service for Hospitality Businesses to Remove BPA from Receipt Paper
Release Date: Jan 24, 2013
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has commissioned a statewide project to help remove Bisphenol A (BPA) from receipt paper. BPA is used in thermal receipt paper processes and is a chemical that can cause human and environmental health hazards.
Twenty Minnesota hospitality businesses will be selected to participate in this free program to review BPA in receipt paper, understand risks to employees, and transition into alternative or paperless point-of-sale systems. If interested, please e-mail Mark Apfelbacher at msa@stratford-companies.com, putting BPA Program in the e-mail title, by Friday, February 1.
