Explore Minnesota Tourism Conference Coming Up February 12-13
Release Date: Feb 05, 2013
There’s still time to register for the Explore Minnesota Tourism Conference at the Hilton Minneapolis Hotel. The conference promises to be among the best attended and is filled with opportunities to learn, network and celebrate Minnesota tourism. Whether a newcomer or long-time tourism professional, plan to attend “Making the Most of Explore Minnesota Opportunities” at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 12. This session provides updates on cooperative advertising, marketing activities and all the latest on enhancements available on exploeminnesota.com.
Stevie Ray will once again be the M.C. for the Excellence in Tourism Awards Banquet Tuesday evening. Stevie’s comedy skills will brighten up the evening as we celebrate the success of tourism industry colleagues. Following the banquet, Meet Minneapolis has organized an “AfterGlow” in the Gallery on the lobby level of the Hilton Hotel. No need to fret about where to go for the annual Karaoke event, Meet Minneapolis has made sure it’s available in the Gallery.
Wednesday’s highlights include a visit by Governor Mark Dayton to address the conference at lunch. Following the Governor’s greeting, Doug Lansky, Minnesota native and international travel writer, will share examples of common travel-related marketing mistakes including the worst tourism slogans and hotel names. His presentation is humorous but also insightful as he will include measures to prevent these mistakes as well.
Registration is $319 for regular conference registration, and $269 for the second and all subsequent registrations from the same business or organization. Day only rates are $179 for either Tuesday or Wednesday.
