Minnesota Branding Initiative

During 2011 and 2012, Explore Minnesota Tourism has led a task force of various state agencies and private-sector entities in efforts to develop a brand for Minnesota. To date, two reports provide results from the branding efforts.
This report provides the broad context of the branding initiative, along with results from focus groups that were convened to get consumer feedback on various brand positioning territories.

This survey-based study helped establish what perceptions of Minnesota, among consumers and Minnesota stakeholders. The study was undertaken in 2011 as part of a broader initiative to develop a brand for Minnesota. Survey coverage starts on page 8.
