Bob Dylan, Prince, the Replacements, Soul Asylum and The Jayhawks are just a few of the influential artists from Minnesota. In recent years Mason Jennings, Motion City Sound Track, Low, Atmosphere, and Cloud Cult have found national audiences. And some of the latest to emerge include Howler and Polica.
Minnesota also has many and varied venues for experiencing live music, from coffee shops to stadiums and lots in between. In summer a wide assortment of outdoor music concerts and festivals representing all genres of music are happening.

Storyhill Fest, a music and camping experience
Storyhill, the acoustic duo made up of Chris Cunningham and John Hermanson, have set August 31 and September 1 for the sixth Storyhill Fest, a unique music and camping experience held at the Clearwater Forest Camp in Deerwood, Minnesota. The two-day festival features multiple offerings and activities for all ages and interests, including guided kayak trips, nature hikes and campfires, along with a line-up of ten original singer/song writers. www.storyhillfest.com.
