Bearskin Lodge is located on the renowned Gunflint Trail, 26 miles from the Lake Superior town of Grand Marais. Bearskin is the only resort on quiet four mile long East Bearskin Lake. Walleye, lake trout, northern, and smallmouth bass occupy the lake. The main lodge houses a gift shop, large stone fireplace, and private sauna. Enjoy the private hot tub hut, scenic hiking trails, biking, fishing, canoeing along with summer nature and children's programs. Bearskin has a sand beach with a swimming area, and canoe and boat rentals are available. Winter brings 77km of groomed cross country ski trails (1.5 km of the trial is lighted) all starting from your cabin door. Highway 61 north from Duluth to Grand Marais. In Grand Marais turn left on County Road 12, the Gunflint Trail. Continue 26 miles on the Gunflint Trail. Watch for the Bearskin Lodge sign on the right hand side of the road.
