Half Moon Trail Resort is an upscale family resort located north of Park Rapids on Boot Lake. This lake has a clearness rating of 19 feet, and is an excellent choice for spring and fall fishing. Check out the fishing link on our web page for a long detailed report. However, we are not just a fishing resort. Here, set on landscaped grounds, you will find many family features like a swimming pool, a great sandy beach, lots of beautiful gardens, many kids activities, unique games like carpet ball and marble mountain, free use of kayaks, paddleboat, bikes, and more. All the cabins have recently been remodeled and updated with a contemporary "up north" flavor. The spacious north country lodge provides a special place to gather with family and friends.A major resort focus is entertainment and recreation. We have many things to do, including some popular games unique to our resort. The clear water and minimal boat traffic certainly enhance the water sports. Families will appreciate the outstanding supervised kids activities. The daily program typically has morning and afternoon activities for kids and an evening event for the entire family.
