A small, quiet resort deep in the north woods where friendliness prevails. Quaint cabins well spaced for quiet and privacy either on the lakeshore or overlooking the lake, all with a spectacular view. Trout Lake is noted for its lake, rainbow, and speckled trout fishing. No special equipment is needed for trout fishing. Trout Lake Resort occupies its own piece of secluded heaven in Minnesota's north woods. Here, at the only resort on beautiful, peaceful Trout Lake, you'll find everything you need for a lakeside family and fishing getaway. We are located just off the renowned Gunflint Trail, deep in the pristine forest but only 16 miles from beautiful Grand Marais on Lake Superior.

Trout Lake is filled with eager rainbow, lake and speckled trout just waiting to be caught. Some like to fly fish, but no special equipment is needed and we'll be glad to send you in the right direction with the right bait.

Trout Lake Resort is ideal for gathering with family and friends. You'll find a play area for the kids, and our fire pit is a great place for evening fun. Come and share your adventures and dreams in the crackling glow of firelight! The dock is a peaceful place to watch for the amazing beauty of Northern Lights and to listen for the call of the loon.

Trout Lake Resort is conveniently located for day trips to explore the shores of Lake Superior, golf, venture into the BWCA, and discover the beautiful harbor, shops and restaurants of Grand Marais.
