We offer 6 modern lake view cabins, two and three bedrooms and 1 efficiency cabin. We have a heated outdoor swimming pool, playground, lodge with big screen TV & video games, some grocery items, snacks, laundry and shower facilities. The RV sites have full hook-ups. Located on the east shore of Bowstring Lake in the heart of the Chippewa National Forest, this year-round resort offers Northwood's family vacations with great amenities like fireplaces, an outdoor heated pool, and nature trails; as well as some of the best walleye fishing in Minnesota. Rocky Shores Resort features six housekeeping cabins with two and three bedrooms that are very clean, comfortable and fully furnished with modern conveniences. Twelve seasonal RV sites have recently been added, set amidst on the 40-acre property. The resort offers boat and motor rental, dock rental for your own boats, and full gas and oil service. Bowstring Lake is known throughout Minnesota as a great fishing lake. Its 9,000 acres contain great structure and weed beds filled with walleye, northern, jumbo perch, crappie and pan fish. The resort's protected harbor provides a safe haven for your boat when the wind picks up on the lake. The resort has plenty of activities, a new playground with swings, a slide and climbing equipment, volleyball, horseshoes, hiking trails, a game room, the pool, and a lodge for watching TV or reading a good book, plus board games.
