Sleeping Fawn Resort and Campgrounds offers 6 lakefront cabins, 15 seasonal full hook up RV sites 3 short stay full hook up sites and 2 primitive tenting sites tucked back into the Pines. With a mile long driveway, 20 acres of wooded land and 660' of lakeshore, you will be surrounded with nature- It nurtures you. Sleeping Fawn is a quiet secluded resort and campground located under a towering canopy of giant Norway pines on the north shores of Stocking Lake, which offers a fantastic southern exposure. Take time to sit and relax while watching your kids playing on the beach or swimming in our enclosed swimming area. Stocking Lake is great for kayaking and canoeing or just a relaxing pontoon ride. Take in the abundant wildlife, watch for the soaring bald eagles or the osprey that are nesting on the lake. Perhaps you may see our 5 otters that visit our floating dock or maybe the trumpeter swans, watch as the deer come to the waters edge to drink. You will most likely see and hear the haunting cry of the most famous northwoods LOON. Take in some fishing, with no public access we have lots of good fishing. The lake has northerns, large mouth bass, crappies and sunfish. At the days end build a fire in your own fire ring and just listen! It's the sound of the northwoods, check out the sky where did all those stars come from? Mother nature shows off what is it? Aurora Borealis-the northern lights.
