Year-RoundSelf Discovery Adventures helps adults of all ages to explore the best of Duluth’s Outdoors We offer guided daily hiking, biking, canoeing, and kayaking trips, all inclusive adventure camps for women and couples, and custom retreats and vacations. All programs feature introductory-level instruction and activities suitable for beginners and those with a desire to “just get outside and play”.
Self Discovery “camps” feature daily outdoor adventures combined with fitness and art classes, friendly staff, delicious meals and comfortable hotel accommodations. It’s all the fun of camp without the bunk beds and mosquitos. Leave your car and wallet behind for the ultimate in active all-inclusive vacations, one that may just change your life!
Custom programs allow us to design the perfect trip or vacation to meet your needs. Whether it’s a half-day corporate team building retreat or a week of family adventures, we can put together the perfect package for your group.
Daily guided daily hiking, biking, canoeing, and kayaking tours let you visit Duluth for the weekend and sign up for a spontaneous adventure when you arrive. Trips all include local transportation, equipment, knowledgeable trained guides, and a picnic meal.
Group hikes are 3-5 miles on basic terrain. They take you to explore sections of the world famous North Shore Scenic Hiking Trail or on city trails with hidden forests and waterfalls.
Self-Discovery Adventures offers two biking locations. Choose from the 14 mile paved Rails to Trail route in western Duluth or the wide shoulder of the beautiful North Shore Scenic drive.
Canoeing trips take you out on Lake Superior’s largest estuary, the St. Louis River, for miles of relaxing fun and epic wildlife viewing.
Kayaking on Lake Superior is an experience not to be missed. Kayak trips are offered either bayside or lakeside depending on the weather. On special occasions and most weekends you will have the option of joining us for a harbor tour or a chance to see the grand homes of London Rd including Glensheen.
In addition, Self Discovery Adventures can assist you in scheduling rowing/ sculling adventures through the Duluth Rowing Club.
