Year-RoundThe beautiful St Croix River is one of the eight original National Wild and Scenic Rivers. Eagles, woodcock, ruffed grouse, bluebirds, beaver and otter are just a few of the species that abound in the park. The visitor center highlights the natural resources and cultural history of the area. An all-season trail center is the focal point for the park's 35 mile trail system. Semi modern and rustic camping available. Naturalist programs available year-round. Day visitors can enjoy a leisurely paddle down the St. Croix River from the Sunrise river access to the southern park river access. The park provides opportunities for semi-modern camping, group camping, backpack camping, canoe camping, and walk-in camping. Visitors who want modern amenities can reserve the guest house which provides a living room, dining room, kitchen, and fireplace. The park also has six camping cabins which include bunkbeds, a table, and benches.
