Year-RoundThe park is named for Henry Schoolcraft who guided by the Anishinabe, found the source of the Mississippi at Lake Itasca. The Mississippi River is a little wider as it flows through the park, but this is a much quieter spot than the busy Headwaters. Canoeists and hikers enjoy a nice view of the river from the park. Staffed by nearby Hill Annex Mine State Park.
