Year-RoundLocated five miles south of McGregor on Hwy 65, this 18,000 acre National Wildlife Refuge offers year-round wildlife and recreational opportunities in a mixture of forest, bog, upland and open water habitats. Over 220 species of birds, 40 species of mammals, and 16 species of reptiles and amphibians can be found on the refuge.The Visitor Center is open M-F 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; the Refuge is open year-round sunrise to sunset.
