May 26, 2013 - Sep 3, 2013Without a doubt, this is the best place in North America to observe and photograph wild black bears!
Operated by The American Bear Association, the Sanctuary is comprised of many habitats: aspen forests, cedar swamps, marshes, beaver ponds, a primary stream, and meadows.
Visitors observe and learn about the elusive black bear from naturalists that answer questions and explain bear behavior as it happens. Our raised observation deck gives visitors a 360 degree view of forest and meadow.
