Year-RoundFound within the Minnesota River Valley, the 202 acres of Swede's Forest SNA provides habitat for the "blue devils", the five-lined skink. They are one of only two lizards found within the area. Painted turtles, waterfowl, great blue herons, red-winged blackbirds, white-tailed deer, and eastern bluebirds can also be seen.
