Year-RoundThe Red Lake Peatland contains the largest and most diversely patterned peatland in the United States. The 87,580 acres provides habitat for the Eastern timber wolf, bobcats, southern bog lemmings, short-eared owl, yellow rail, Wilson's phalarope, and the greater sandhill crane. There are approximately 110 bird species found in the peatland.
