Year-RoundRoberts Bird Sanctuary is a 13 acre preserve that lies adjacent to the shores of Lake Harriet in southwest Minneapolis. The sanctuary encompasses wetlands, wet prairie, and forest which attract a wide variety of birds - more than 200 species have been identified. Herons, egrets, songbirds, raptors and warblers abound. Take the time to explore adjacent Lake Harriet and go biking, canoeing, swimming and fishing.

: 7:30am-10pm. The local chapter of the Minnesota Audubon Society offers free tours every Tuesday at 9 a.m. during April and May. Meet at the Visitors Shelter in the parking lot off Roseway Road.
