Year-RoundThe 700 acres of Sand Prairie Wildlife Management and Environmental Education Area encompass two major wetland restorations, a tract of restored prairie, native prairie brushland, and woods. Beavers, sandhill cranes, trumpeter swans white-tailed deer, fox, green herons, sandhill cranes, trumpeter swans, American woodcock, blue-winged teal, and a variety of warblers are just a few of the wildlife species that can be seen from the observation deck and along the prairie trails.
