The Rochester Recreation Center is designed to offer a number of community recreation activities under one roof. There are four basic areas of recreational activities as follows:

Water Sports - The swimming pool area includes an Olympic length swimming pool that meets all AAU and FINA standards with a pool size of 50 meters in length and eight swimming lanes. Included in this area is two 3-meter and two 1-meter springboards, a removable bulkhead section that creates two 25-yard swimming areas and a handicapped accessible ramp at the shallow end. The pool area has seating for 1,021 spectators.

Ice Sports - There are two 85' x 200' ice rinks for hockey and figure skating. The main rink has seating for 2,508 spectators.
