July 4 Half Marathon Is a Blast in Minneapolis
Celebrate July 4th with a fun run, entertainment, and fireworks in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. Registration is open for the 2nd annual Red, White, and Boom! TC Half Marathon.
Starting and finishing at St. Anthony Main, this is a unique, urban race that shows off the historic Minneapolis riverfront and the parks that line the Mississippi.
Runners can participate as individuals or as part of a team of 2, 5, or 10 runners. Team members make great running companions, and added to the fun are team VIP tents, team photos, and competition categories including best team costumes.
Other 4th of July festivities in the riverfront area include hot dogs and other foods worthy of an all-American celebration, as well as music on several stages. After dark, a spectacular fireworks show draws thousands.
Red, White, and Boom is produced by Twin Cities in Motion, which organizes Twin Cities running events including the popular Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon—now in its 30th year.
Minnesota has a wealth of public paths and trails ideal for running. For more information, check out Minnesota Running Trails on Trail Link.
