Bed and Breakfast / Historic Inns
For a perfect romantic getaway, or just a weekend of quiet luxury away from everything, Minnesota's bed and breakfasts and historic inns are just the ticket. Many B & Bs are in elegant mansions in historic towns, lobbies filled with lovely antiques and a huge, wood-burning fireplace. Individual rooms are often just as elegantly appointed, often with a big Jacuzzi, a fireplace, and a big antique bed topped by a fluffy comforter or a handmade quilt.
The locations are varied but typically charming: many are in historic rivertowns along the St. Croix or Mississippi, others in secluded sites in the woods, beside a lake, on the prairie, or a quiet residential neighborhood in an urban setting. Beautiful inns and B & Bs can be found in every corner of the state.
