Catch Outdoor Baseball with the Minnesota Twins
Play ball! The Minnesota Twins outdoor ballpark has fans cheering. Target Field is a 40,000 seat, open-air stadium with a natural grass playing field that features views of the Minneapolis downtown skyline. It’s the first ballpark designed and built specifically for the Twins.
The exterior, built with native limestone quarried near Mankato, has a distinctive Minnesota look. The landscaped plaza out front is a welcoming place to gather before the game. Inside, the park features one of the closest seating bowls in major league baseball, and the fourth largest scoreboard.
The wide concourses have open views of the playing field and will be heated on cooler days. Concessions include a wide variety of food, including walleye on a stick.
Target Field is located in the historic Warehouse District on the north side of downtown Minneapolis. The neighborhood is full of cafes, restaurants and pubs, so fans have plenty of spots to enjoy a meal before or after a game.
The ballpark is easy to get to by transit. It is adjacent to a station serving light rail and commuter train lines, and a commuter bike trail runs along the ballpark. Regular and express bus service is available, and there is plenty of parking downtown.
The Twins’ regular season runs through September. See the home game schedule and ticket information at DestinationTargetField.com.
