The Northwest Angle and Islands are located at the Top of the Nation. Check out a map of Minnesota and you will find the chimney, and Lake of the Woods. Surrounded by Canada (Manitoba and Ontario), the Northwest Angle and Islands is the northernmost point in the contiguous United States. This unique part of the country can be reached by motoring along a winding nature filled road of tamarack, black spruce, white & red pine, cedar, and birch. You can also access the area across the lake via snowmobile, bombardier or passenger boat.
Our area offers much to do including: world class fishing, outstanding birding, hiking, golfing, boating, snowmobiling, sight seeing, and many other activities including touring attractions.
The Northwest Angle area is a premier fishery for Walleye and Muskie. In these pristine border waters you can fish two countries in one afternoon. Catch the excitement of Northern Pike, Sauger, Smallmouth Bass, Crappies, Jumbo Perch, and even Burbot thrown in for good measure!
Our region has some of the hottest reef fishing around in summer. After a delicious shore lunch of freshly caught fish, fried potatoes and baked beans, sit back and enjoy!
