Beautiful Lake Okabena is the crown jewel of Worthington, which attracts windsurfers from around the nation to its Windsurfing Regatta each June. The annual Regatta takes place in conjunction with the Unvarnished Music Festival. Lake Okabena - labeled "Fastest Lake in the Nation" - is also home to the Midwest Speed Quest. There are plenty more goings on year-round, too. Among them are the community's storied King Turkey Day (September), highlighted by the Great Gobbler Gallop turkey race, and the International Festival (July), which offers up a mesmerizing serving of multicultural cuisine and entertainment. For those who enjoy history, Pioneer Village is a spot to recall the life of our ancestors, and the Historic Dayton House gives visitors the chance to tour the Victorian-style home of the Dayton's department store founder.
