Our Lakes: There is no better place to relax than on our sandy beaches, gentle waves cool, pure water rolling ashore. Nestled amidst the gently rolling countryside of Kandiyohi County are more than 360 lakes for you to explore. Our Activities: Enjoy the lush countryside of the Willmar Lakes Area from high atop Mount Tom at Sibley State Park, or bike through the scenery along our 22 mile Glacial Lakes Trail. Take your pick from among dozens of city and county parks, many of which are equipped with picnic shelters, swimming beaches and fishing piers. Our Location: The Willmar Lakes Area is located 90 miles west of the Twin Cities on Hwy. 12. Or from the Metro area, take I-94 to Hwy. 23 S. Continue south on Hwy 23 to the Lakes Area.
