About
Feel the heat! Show off your chili skills with the 1st Annual Chili Competition at the Transfer Building (Formerly Grandpa’s Barn).
2023 Chili Competition Rules
•$25.00 entry fee is required to compete.
•Contestants are allowed to make any base of chili.
•Chili should be made in a six-quart slow cooker or pot ONLY-we want to avoid anyone running out of chili to serve while others are still distributing samples. Running out would make your chances of winning less likely!

•Chili makers are REQUIRED to bring their own extension cord and ladle/spoon. We will supply outlets, power, and paper products (e.g. sample bowls, utensils and napkins).
Registrants are responsible for transportation and food safety practices.
•All chili that is not made in a commercial kitchen to be labeled.
•Those labels must include the maker’s name and address in which the chili was prepared.
•Samples available only as supplies last, the public will be allowed into the building to sample beginning at 1:00 p.m. Cost to the public for admittance is $10.00.
•Judges will taste test at your table beginning at 12:00 p.m. Winners will be announced on the Main Stage at 3:00 p.m.
