The Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation® is hosting our 2019 Heartbeat Gala. The stories shared will shine a light on the need for, and impact of, women’s heart health research. Join gala co-chairs, Dr. Elizabeth Grey and Dr. Retu Saxena as we lift up the impact research has on the lives of patients and their families during an evening of generosity, inspirational storytelling, and captivating guest speakers. With 600+ guests including Minneapolis Heart Institute® physicians, patients and families, thought influencers and community leaders, this event bring our mission to life.

Gala proceeds benefit the MHIF Women’s Cardiovascular Science Center to advance care and improve outcomes in women’s heart health. When it comes to heart disease, women are understudied, underdiagnosed and undertreated. Now it’s time to understand and #ResearchHer.

Heart disease takes the lives of more women than all cancers combined, Alzheimer’s and respiratory diseases combined. Women’s heart health research is 35 years behind that of men’s heart health research. Your support will help advance women’s cardiovascular research, which will change the trajectory of this disease in women. Much more work is needed to identify risk and save women’s lives.
