Michael Goldberg (Native Sons, The Found, Captain Mike & The Totems, A Hard Days Night), Jason Bush (Mango Jam and many other projects) and Rick Marquart (Revolver, A Hard Days Night) dig deep to deliver a tribute live performance with character and soul. The Beatnik Brothers play the very best legendary hit songs from the golden eras of rock and roll.
As a music hero of the 90s Minneapolis music scene. Michael Goldberg has composed, produced and recorded catchy and inspired songs with some of the greatest musical figures in the country. Last November 2023, Michael was walking the red carpet in L.A. with his partner in crime, Jeff Victor – along with stars, Jeremy Davies, Taryn Manning and Tom Arnold for the indy-film “Adventures of the Naked Umbrella” Jeff Vicor wrote the music and Michael sang Lead vocals on three of the main tracks.
In the 90’s, Michael’s powerful song writing and unique tenor voice hooked the ear of legendary hit maker, Steven Greenberg (Funkytown) who signed him to October Records. Together they made a groundbreaking concept album; Native Sons – Lost in Time, produced by the famed John “Strawberry” Fields. (Jonas Brothers, Switchfoot, Miley Cyrus, etc.) Fields just recently said, “Mike has a wonderful pop sensibility and his songs are bursting with blissful melodies. Bravo!” A few years Later Michael teamed up with songwriter/producer Jon Herchert to create the Captain Mike & the Totems album and several other colorful original song recording projects.
With champions Jason Bush (bass, vocal) and Richard Larson on lead guitar, the Beatnik Brothers are on a launch pad ready for take off as a creative musical force. Welcome to the here and now, as The Beatnik Brothers continue toward the peak of their creative output. THE BEATNIK BROTHERS will bring the classic, great songs everyone knows to the front line!
