Alexander Ramsey House Re-Opening Celebration

Welcome back to the Alexander Ramsey House!

The Ramsey House will be open 10am to 4 pm. The first floor of the mansion will be available for exploration with guides to answer questions and show some of the 14,000 original furnishings of the home. Limited tours of the upper floors of the mansion will be available throughout the day—sign up upon arrival. Some of the fun-filled activities include:

• Nelson’s ice-cream social hosted by MNHS, 11am-3pm (one ice cream cone per person: vegan, dairy-free and nut-free options available, while supplies last)
• Bluegrass and old-time music
• Victorian yard games including quiots, croquette, hoop and stick, plus spoon and egg run
• Victorian crafts, including thermotroups and fan making
• Victorian-era cooking demonstrations.
• “Daguerreotype”-inspired photo station

Extend your day by enjoying music and food trucks in Historic Irving Park! We’re pleased to be working with the Historic Irvine Park Association which will be hosting music and food trucks in Historic Irving Park in conjunction with this event. After our opening celebration, guided tours will resume August 5.
