Aquatic Biodiversity Field Trip
Sax-Zim Bog
The biodiversity of aquatic ecosystems is sometimes difficult to see and experience. Birds and flying insects might be easy to see and hear and some may catch a fish every now and then. But there is more to a pond or lake or non-moving body of water than is often accessible to us! This field trip will take advantage of the diversity of the lakes, streams, rivers, and ditches in the Sax-Zim Bog and consider the biology of northern aquatic ecosystems and the creatures that inhabit them. Be prepared to get wet (if you’d like!) on this field trip! All ages and ability levels encouraged to attend this field trip.
