About
This exhibit celebrates the power of art and community for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
In 2016, Minnetonka launched an initiative to transform the city into a safe and respectful community for seniors with dementia. An estimated 1,000 people in Minnetonka live with some form of memory-based cognitive impairment. From 2017 to 2019, grant funding allowed the Minnetonka Center for the Arts (MCFTA) to partner with the city on programs tailored to the needs and gifts of seniors with memory loss.
