About the Exhibitions
Form and Surface showcases new ceramic work by four artists based in southeastern Minnesota. view October 5, 2024 – January 11, 2025, Laurie Cohrs, Mary Beth Magyar, Lisa S. Truax, and Alexis Zaccariello (collectively known as The Claydies) exhibit a wide range of work, exploring the many forms and surface imagery of contemporary ceramics work. Form and Surface is in Gallery Three. The artists will also be a special pop-up boutique during the reception!
Chapters is a multi-media exhibition by Talon Cavendar-Wilson and Dani Prados (Iron & Iris). Chapters began as the conversation of life in a small prairie town between someone who grew up there and a newcomer figuring out the intricacies of place and people. This landscape-rooted dialogue materialized in “chapters”; each an exploration of what collaboration between two artists of different crafts – and histories – can look like.
Now each new home of the exhibit births a new Chapter exploring that place, and the whole beast grows, evolves, and weaves new connections, feeds roots already seeded. Red Wing welcomes a new chapter of Chapters – launching a year-long state tour with new voices, waters, and collaboration. This exhibition is on view from November 16, 2024 – January 18, 2025 in Gallery One.
