Artist Reception for Laura Ahola-Young

Come and meet artist, Laura Ahola-Young. Laura's work in this exhibit reflects her investigation into Critical Plant Theory, a new inquiry in the humanities that examines the human/plant relationship. Through algae, the study of photosynthesis, microscopic details and the role of oxygen and carbon in climate change- her paintings celebrate plants. All of her work is grounded in her own homeland - the Boundary Waters of Minnesota. Laura's work will be on display in the Visitor Center throughout the month of June.You can meet Laura in person on Friday, June 7th from 7 to 8:30 pm in the Tettegouche Visitor Center. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of Tettegouche State Park.
