Jim Yellowhawk comes from a family of artists that include his grandmother Annie, a traditional bead worker and his father Jerry, a painter. Jim knew he wanted to be a professional artist in high school and eventually graduated with a degree in art from Marion College in Indiana before     studying at the Columbus College of Art & Design in Ohio.

He blends traditional styles of art (such as Ledger Art) with modern imagery and concepts that have been displayed in galleries around the world. He is here at the park sharing his craft with the public from June 16th - 25th.
