The Minnesota Freedom Band is a Twin Cities-based LGBTQIA+ community band. The band was organized in 1982 to provide an opportunity for LGBTQ+ musicians and their allies to play music as their authentic selves in a safe, inclusive environment. The band is committed to presenting quality musical performances, providing opportunities for members to improve musicianship, maintaining a diverse membership, and building relationships with each other and the community.
Friday, August 11th, 7:00 - 8:00 pm - Prairie Fire Lady Choir
Prairie Fire Lady Choir (PFLC) is a Twin Cities-based, a cappella singing group of sixty members who raise their collective voices across the state in support of art, community, and creativity. Formed in 2010, PFLC performs unique arrangements of songs by Leonard Cohen, Twisted Sister, Fleetwood Mac, Kimbra, Metallica and Bill Withers, among others. The choir has performed at a wide variety of events and venues throughout the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota.
