About
Come out and enjoy Rice Lake State Park in the evening under a recently full moon. The main loop is a mile-and-a-half-long trail that will lead you through the candlelit woods from the boat ramp parking lot up to the campground, down to Rice Lake, and along its lantern-lit shore back to the start. There will also be turn-offs at a half mile and a mile if you prefer something shorter, or add a little more on the second trip.
Warm up by the bonfire or in the warming shelter, both at the boat ramp lot, along with s'more fixings. Other treats, hot chocolate, and hot cider will be found at the park office.
Vehicle permits are required on all vehicles entering Minnesota state parks. These can be purchased online or at the park on the day of the event. Remember, if purchasing online permits, you must display the permit confirmation number on the passenger side of your dash.
Severe weather may affect the event, so be sure to check the park's "Alerts and Notices" page for any changes that may occur.
