Collectors Day 2023

About

Recommended for all ages

Join us for our second annual Collectors Day, a daylong event where members of the community are invited to share and showcase their own personal collections.

Visitors will interact with collectors as they share stories about their gathering process and their passion and enthusiasm for their collections. The Bell also invites visitors to learn more about its scientific collections and their important role in research and understanding natural history. Experience a variety of collections ranging from fossils, minerals, and gemstones to stuffed animals, Pez candy dispensers, and animal figurines. A few highlights attendees can expect to explore include:

  • The Little Prince novella in multiple languages, formats, and artwork styles–including Klingon!
  • Lake Superior agates found in the Twin Cities and Duluth area
  • Action figures featuring African American characters from sci-fi, comics, and pop culture
  • Minnesota fossils from the state’s four fossil-containing seashores

This is an in-person event at the Bell Museum and is included in the cost of regular admission.
