Consortium Carissimi Season XV Opening Concert

About

This first production of our Fifteenth Season celebrates three artists, two from roughly the same period in history: Secular Songs of the Englishman John Dowland (1563-1626) and Madrigals for five voices of the Italian composer Don Carlo Gesualdo (1566-1613). The third artist is America’s first poet Mistress Anne Bradstreet (1612-1672). These delightful Dowland songs feature Clara Osowski, mezzo soprano and Linh Kaufmann in the poetry of Bradstreet. Period instruments (theorbos, lutes and viols) will accompany the voices.

This event coincides with the Twin Cities Early Music Festival 2022. Don’t miss it! A reception will follow.
