Contempo Physical Dance emerged from Artistic Director Marciano Silva dos Santos’ hunger to create work that is artistically exceptional, riveting to watch, highly physical and that speaks to the cultural dynamics of his Afro/Indigenous-Brazilian ancestry. Through extensive research, Contempo has created a Brazilian contemporary dance aesthetic that is constantly evolving.
