About
The program will open with Antonín Dvorak's rousing "Carnival Overture," initially written as one of a triptych of overtures entitled "Nature, Life and Love" - "Life" became "Carnival." We then welcome Elise Bombaro back to the stage to perform the “Piano Concerto in A minor” by Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg, one of the most well-known piano concerti of all time. The latter half of our concert will unite the symphony and chorus with The Liturgal Choir of the University of St. Thomas for the complete "Requiem in D minor" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors (age 60+), $5 for students, available at the John and Betty Adamich Box Office, located at Ames Center, 12600 Nicollet Ave, Burnsville. The box office is open Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday 10am to 2pm, and two hours prior to each event. Tickets also available from Ticketmaster at 800-982-2787 or http://www.ticketmaster.com/Dakota-Valley-Symphony-tickets/ (processing fees may apply).
