The Day You Begin

About

Make this the day you begin!

It’s not easy to take those first steps into a place where nobody really knows you, but somehow you do it. With the start of school and new beginnings looming, National Book Award Winner Jacqueline Woodson’s heartwarming musical celebrates the courage it takes to make new friends, hear new stories, and see your own magic in the world.

About Threads Dance Project

Threads Dance Project (Threads) was founded by Karen L. Charles in 2011 when her father passed away, leaving her just enough money to produce one professional performance. Since then, Threads has produced over thirty works including its yearly Tapestries Program which supports emerging choreographers. Threads matinees, classes and workshops have reached over 2000 students in the Twin Cities Metro area. Threads also engages with the community via open rehearsals, panel discussions and movement-based workshops at their Twin Cities home – Threads Dance Nexus.

Located in beautiful downtown Hopkins, Stages Theatre Company is committed to the enrichment and education of children and youth in a professional theatre environment that stimulates artistic excellence and personal growth.
