Dinner and a Scare 2!

About

A sold-out favorite from last year “Dinner and a Scare” is always a fun concert. The programming contrasts spooky masterworks by Berlioz, Weelkes, Lauridsen, alongside Little Shop of Horrors, new pieces, and musical surprises we don’t dare spoil here! There is something for everyone, whether you are a connoisseur of choral calamities, or a noob to the niceties of musical nuance. In other words, “Dinner and a Scare” is both excellent and fun.

The concert not only offers a fun and dynamic musical experience, but is hosted by 480 Arts, a visionary place where artists like the Minnesota Renaissance Choir are at their best. Acquaint yourself with the evil Mephistopholes as he drags the damned Faust into hell and witness the awesome terror of a new zombie song, reconstructed from charred musical manuscripts written by the zombies themselves! We encourage our audience to wear their favorite Halloween costumes, come early for the food truck and drinks (alcoholic and non), and make “Dinner and a Scare” a part of your annual fall tradition. Like a werewolf transforming before a full moon, this event only happens once a year. Mark your calendars and join us for a fun night of frights and fun!

The Minnesota Renaissance Choir is a professional chamber choir based in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN., conducted by Dr. Jonathan D. Campbell. The Minnesota Renaissance Choir strives for the highest level of choral artistry in performing contrapuntal music from all style periods.
